Fantasy NASCAR Picks for the 2025 Enjoy Illinois 300 at Gateway: My Winning Lineup

Fantasy-NASCAR-Picks-for-the-2025-Enjoy-Illinois-300-at-Gateway-My-Winning-Lineup-drivingonmarbles-2025

Hey race fans!

We’re rolling into Gateway this week for the Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway, and if you’re anything like me, you’re already knee deep in stats, stage point history, and playoff positioning trying to lock in the perfect fantasy picks.

It’s race #28 of the season, and while the playoffs are heating up, we’re not just looking at who’s got momentum, we’re also considering who shows up when the rubber meets the road in Madison, Illinois.

I am leaning into the Toyota camp hard this week, sticking with what’s been fast on flatter ovals, and looking for those sneaky point-haulers outside the top 12 to round out the board. Let’s dive in this week’s picks.

My Top-12 Fantasy Picks for Gateway

Tyler Reddick – My Main Driver

Locked in and loyal. Tyler Reddick is my guy, and he’s been showing strong consistency lately with solid stage performances and smart pit cycles.

While Gateway hasn’t exactly been a playground for him yet, his recent Toyota speed and steady playoff form make him a safe anchor for my lineup this week.

Denny Hamlin – Experience and Execution

Denny Hamlin is one of the best in the game when it comes to execution on flat tracks like Gateway.

He’s sitting pretty in the standings and tends to capitalize on clean air and long run setups. Add in his playoff focus and the No. 11 team’s ability to dial in strategy?

Hamlin’s a must-start in my book.

Kyle Larson – High Line Hustler

Kyle Larson continues to prove he can run anywhere, anytime. He’s got the speed, the qualifying chops, and has been laser focused as we head deeper into playoff territory.

He’s also historically great at getting those stage points that can make or break your fantasy week, even if he doesn’t always close with the win.

Smart Picks from Outside the Top 12

Ty Gibbs – The Rookie with Fire

Yes, he’s still technically outside the playoff bubble, but Ty Gibbs is putting together impressive runs, especially at tracks where handling and rhythm matter.

He’s been right on the edge of cracking that next tier, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sneak in some crucial stage points this weekend.

Joey Logano – Veteran Grit, Still Dangerous

He’s not having a playoff year (yet), but let’s not forget what Joey Logano can do at a track like Gateway.

He won the inaugural event here in 2022 and still has plenty of motivation to play spoiler. If he qualifies up front, he could be a sleeper pick that pays big.

Kyle Busch – Rolling the Dice with Rowdy

Now I know Kyle Busch hasn’t been the Rowdy of old lately, but you can’t discount his experience or ability to make something out of nothing.

He’s historically solid on flat tracks, and while he’s outside the top 12 right now, he knows how to run up front when it matters.

Final Thoughts: Strategy Over Sentiment

With Gateway’s unique shape and multiple braking zones, this week is all about balance and tire management.

The Toyotas have looked strong here in the past, and I’m banking on them again to deliver.

But don’t sleep on the experienced veterans outside the playoff bubble who have nothing to lose and everything to prove.

Whether you’re in it for the weekly bragging rights or gunning for a season long title, I hope these picks help you bring the heat. And hey, if you outscore me, don’t rub it in too hard.

Catch you after the checkered flag!
