Welcome back NASCAR fans…
While the 2017 NASCAR season officially began last weekend with the running of the ADVANCE AUTO PARTS CLASH, our fantasy NASCAR pool right here on Drivngonmarbles.com, along with most fantasy NASCAR leagues will be kicking things off this coming weekend with the 59th running of the Daytona 500.
Now if you’ve been a fan of NASCAR for awhile you’ll have your own “strategy” in place for this weeks “crap shoot”, (…I use the term “strategy” very loosely here…) however, if you’re a Fantasy NASCAR league virgin then here’s a bit of advice.
Track’s like Daytona are where you throw caution to the wind and your strategy out the window… you’re basically rolling the dice and hoping for the best. Super speedway tracks like Daytona are where drivers race in a huge pack at speeds of 200+ mph and travelling at these speed in such close formation…if anyone in the pack lets say …blows a tire or gets caught in a bad draft or looses concentration for a millisecond… it could and usually does send multiple cars in what race fans refer to as “The Big One”
So if you’re looking for some type of strategy this weekend (and you don’t have dice to roll…lol), I’d suggest this is the race to try a long shot or two…there’s really no point in burning a start with a top option because, while beginning the season with a wreck sucks…beginning your season with wreck and “wasting a start” with no reward sucks even more.
