Hey folks, Bryan here—and we’re back with another week of fantasy picks, this time for the 2025 Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway.
This little bullring with a speedway feel is one of my favorite races on the schedule. It’s short-track racing at its finest: fast, bumpy, and unpredictable.
There’s tire strategy, stage-point drama, and plenty of room for chaos. So if you’re here looking to lock in your best NASCAR fantasy roster, you’re in the right place. Let’s dig in.
Locked and Loaded: Tyler Reddick Is My Main Fantasy Driver
My main fantasy driver is Tyler Reddick, and that’s not changing anytime soon. While Reddick hasn’t snagged a win yet this season, he’s quietly putting together a rock-solid campaign.
On tracks under a mile, Reddick excels with smooth entries, smart tire wear, and—most importantly—a clean incident record.
He’s got a knack for staying out of trouble while still picking up consistent stage points.
I’m not expecting him to dominate, but I do expect him to be in the mix, and that’s all I need from a locked-in roster spot.
Top Backup Pick: William Byron Is a Short-Track Sleeper
If I didn’t already have Reddick locked into my main fantasy spot, William Byron would’ve been my go to top 12 pick.
The #24 team just doesn’t miss on strategy, and Byron has a surprisingly strong record at Iowa.
He finished second here last year and has multiple wins across other NASCAR series at this track.
He’s been consistent, qualifying well, and avoiding the usual short-track chaos.
Byron may fly under the radar for some fantasy players, but not for me, he’s a high floor, high ceiling play you can count on.
High-Scoring Picks from the NASCAR Top 12 Rankings
With Reddick locked in, I’ve got two more top-12 spots to fill—and I’m coming out swinging with Ryan Blaney and Christopher Bell.
Ryan Blaney
Ryan Blaney absolutely owned Iowa last season. He led 201 laps, won Stage 1, and never dropped outside the top three all race long. His average running position was 1.8.
That’s just silly. Combine that with his pit crew’s consistency and his flat-track prowess, and you’ve got a no-brainer fantasy pick. He checks all the boxes: stage points, potential for a win, and minimal risk.
Christopher Bell
Christopher Bell is my next choice, and honestly, he might be the best short track driver in the field right now.
He’s laser-focused on tracks like Iowa, methodical, aggressive when needed, and almost always fast off the truck.
Bell leads the series in laps led on tracks under one mile this season and has posted the fastest average green flag speed in the last three short track races. If he qualifies well, he’s a threat to sweep the stages and the checkered.
Best Value Picks from Drivers Outside the Top 12
Let’s get to the heart of your fantasy team—the value picks.
These three drivers sit outside the top 12 in points but have every reason to be in your fantasy lineup for Iowa.
First up: Kyle Busch.
The man may not be in his prime, but you cannot count him out on a track that requires throttle discipline and adaptability. Busch is the kind of guy who’ll sandbag in practice and then rocket up the leaderboard during the race. His veteran savvy and aggressive restarts make him an ideal mid-tier fantasy asset this weekend.
Next, I’m rolling with Brad Keselowski.
He’s not flashy, but he’s smart. BK knows how to manage tire wear better than most and reads changing track conditions like a pro.
Iowa is the kind of track where his strengths shine: strategy, patience, and textbook pit calls. He’s a dark horse for stage points, and if things go haywire, he’s almost always there to capitalize.
Rounding out my outside the top 12 picks is Michael McDowell.
He’s been sneaky consistent this year and always seems to finish better than he starts.
Iowa rewards clean driving and solid long-run pace, and that’s where McDowell thrives.
If this turns into a survival race (which, let’s be real, is always possible at Iowa), McDowell could find himself in the top 10 before the dust settles.
Fantasy NASCAR Sleeper Pick: Don’t Sleep on William Byron
Now I know I already mentioned Byron as my alternate top 12 pick, but I’m doubling down and labeling him as my sleeper as well.
Why?
Because he might get overlooked by fantasy players chasing recent winners or flashier names.
Byron has both the equipment and the track history to win at Iowa. If you’re looking to zig while others zag, slot him in.

Final Thoughts on My Fantasy Strategy for Iowa Speedway
This week’s strategy is all about balance.
I’ve got one locked in driver with a steady floor (Reddick), two top 12 threats with win upside (Blaney and Bell), and a trio of undervalued talents who could sneak into the top 10 and grab solid points.
Toss in a wildcard like Byron, and you’ve got a full roster that’s battle tested for Iowa’s unique blend of speed, strategy, and chaos.
Thanks for stopping by again this week. Let me know who you’re running with, or if you’ve got a gut pick that I overlooked. And don’t forget: stay out of the marbles.
Catch you next week!
